With almost ten years’ experience as a therapist, I have had the pleasure of supporting clients from around the world, both in person and through online therapy.
I predominantly work from a psychodynamic perspective. This involves helping clients understand how their past experiences have shaped their current lives, paying attention to their family system, attachment style, and how they relate to themselves and others. I also draw on Existential theory, encouraging clients to engage in deep reflection on their identity and their way of being in the world, focusing on concepts such as purpose, meaning, anxiety, and mortality. For those who need more solution-focused work, I integrate various techniques from CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), moving clients from awareness to practical change.
I bring a person-centered and trauma-informed approach to therapy, recognising that clients want to sit across from a real person with real-life experiences and that our therapeutic relationship will be key to progress. I have experience working with issues such as anxiety, depression, grief, relationship issues, family dynamics, complex trauma, PTSD, self-esteem, domestic abuse, and LGBTQIA+ related issues.
If you attend Grove Therapy, you will find yourself in a warm, safe, and nonjudgmental environment where you can be yourself and work on any issues that are causing you distress in your life.
